Cold-rolled steel is obtained by further processing hot-rolled steel. After cooling, hot rolled steel is re-rolled at room temperature for more precise dimensions and improved surface qualities. Although “cold rolled” steel is commonly used to represent a variety of finishing methods, it technically only refers to compressed sheets between rollers.
